The Russian Aerospace Forces launched an attack in Syria against the base of militants who left the Al-Tanf area. This was announced during a briefing on November 7 by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria (CPVS), Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasyuk.

“A strike by the Russian Aerospace Forces in the area northeast of the village of Palmyra in Homs province destroyed the base of militants who left the al-Tanf area,” – said.

In addition, Ignasyuk added that during the day in the Idlib de-escalation zone, special services recorded seven attacks on positions of Syrian government troops by the terrorist groups Jabhat al-Nusra and the Turkestan Islamic Party.* (banned in the Russian Federation). Meanwhile, Ignasyuk continued, the aviation of the so-called international anti-terrorist coalition led by the United States continues to create dangerous situations in the skies over Syria. Thus, in the Al-Tanf area, during the day 10 violations of the rules for the use of the airspace of the Syrian Arab Republic were recorded by two pairs of F-15 fighters (twice) and a pair of fighters F-16. In addition, during the day, the coalition registered a case of violation of the deconfliction protocols of December 9, 2019, which was associated with a drone flight that was not coordinated with the Russian side, Izvestia clarifies.
