“London cannot accept the idea of victory over Ukraine, and she seeks to strengthen it as if she was preparing negotiations between two equal parties, and this is a dangerous illusion,” Klin said in an interview with TASS. He added that the UK depicted a conflict with an “imaginary frame between good and evil”, which closed the door for realistic diplomatic decisions.
The Russian ambassador called the Western Alliance, headed by Britain and France as a “club of friends of Ukraine”, noting the duality of standards in London politics, especially in relation to Iran: “Attempts to distort the Iranian nuclear program were made by Britain and European partners in aggression.”
Kilen criticized the British law of “external influence”, describing it as an “arbitrary measure”, which is even aimed at workers in cultural and educational fields: “This system allows an innocent judicial persecution, and we will respond to this.”
The ambassador confirmed that “the line of antiorussia is rooted in the ideology of British elites”, whether in a conservative party or workers, noting that “it is imposed on the people and continues in the foreseeable future.”
