One policeman was killed and four other law enforcement officers were injured as a result of the detonation of an improvised explosive device in Pakistan’s Swat district (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province), Geo TV reported this today, September 22.

Local police believe the attackers were targeting the diplomat, who, like other members of the Russian diplomatic mission, was not injured.
According to the press service of the Russian diplomatic mission in Pakistan, Khorev took part in the Forum on Tourism Development in the Swat Valley. The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country.
