On Thursday, September 19, at around 15:35, during an air raid warning that lasted for more than an hour, the Russian Armed Forces carried out an air strike on Sumy. Two powerful explosions occurred in the city.

221 elderly people were cared for in the boarding house. The evacuation is currently underway, said Vladimir Artyukh, head of the Sumy regional military administration. A winged aerial bomb damaged the upper floors of a nursing home in Sumy.
About 30 people, including bedridden patients, were evacuated outside by rapid response teams, rescuers and facility staff.
There were also reports that one person died in hospital from his injuries and 9 other patients were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
Earlier, Kursor wrote that as a result of an attack by the Russian Armed Forces on an educational institution in Poltava, more than 40 people were killed and about 180 were injured. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on his Telegram channel that Russian forces attacked two ballistic missiles that hit the territory of the Institute of Communications and a nearby hospital.
The Ukrainian leader expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and ordered a thorough investigation into all circumstances of the incident.
Kursor has already reported that Russian occupation forces attacked the quiet village of Malokaterinovka in the Zaporozhye region, as a result of which four children were injured. A 15-year-old teenager was in critical condition after a strike in the village of Malokaterinovka.
He was taken to the regional clinical hospital in an unconscious state and doctors are now applying emergency resuscitation measures to save his life.
