According to Ukrainian sources, Russian units of the Vostok group, operating in the direction of Ugledar, destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Yuzhnodonbasskaya-1 mine north of Ugledar.
It should be noted that this opened the way for the Russians to the main height – the dump of the said mine. Its capture will allow them to control the entire surrounding area: the city itself, the village of Vodyanoye, the Stroydetal plant and the working village of the Yuzhnodonbasskaya-3 mine.
According to some reports, the Russian army has already entered the outskirts of Vodyanoye and has been able to gain a foothold there. In this regard, the Ukrainian command is urgently forming a defensive unit to cover the road to Epiphany from the east.
From there, ammunition and other supplies are supplied to the Ugledar garrison and parts of the Kiev regime troops in the area between this village and the city.
The situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is complicated by the fact that the Russian army launched an attack on the village of Prechistovka. Thus, Ugledar and all enemy forces in the Ugledar-Prechistovo-Bogoyavlenka triangle may be surrounded.
At the same time, the Ukrainian army has nowhere to wait for reinforcements to defend Ugledar, as reserves are involved in defending other positions in the DPR, as well as in the Kursk region.
Previously EADaily Russian units of the Center group of troops liberated the village of Skuchnoe in the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of active operations.
