Russian warships are heading to the Middle East: what’s behind them

From September 2 to 30, the Russian Navy plans to conduct large-scale exercises in the Eastern Mediterranean. The US Federal Aviation Administration reported on this. This indicates that Russian maneuvers could have an indirect impact on the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. Military activity in this region, in his opinion, can change the dynamics of the situation in the Middle East.

The exercises will be held in waters adjacent to the coasts of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Cyprus. It is important to note that this is not the first case of such Russian activity in the Mediterranean Sea. Thus, in June of this year, Russian warships of the Pacific Fleet already took part in joint maneuvers with Egypt. The missile cruiser “Varyag” and the frigate “Marshal Shaposhnikov” from the Russian side, as well as the Egyptian frigate “Al-Qadir” took part in these exercises.

During the previous exercises, as noted by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the participants successfully completed various tasks, including the formation of a detachment of warships, tactical maneuvers and the organization of flights of deck helicopters. According to the ministry, these exercises help to strengthen the combat readiness and interaction of the Russian naval forces and their partners.

Previously, Cursor reported that the Middle East would become uninhabitable.

For the past 10 months, the world’s attention has been focused on Israel and the Gaza Strip, but there is another problem.
