The company “Russian Post” warned about the spread of a fraud scheme using SMS messages in the country. The relevant information appeared on the Pochta telegram channel.
Russian Post also confirmed that the company never requests codes that customers receive via SMS. The company also advised people to be more careful.
Normally, the attackers, the company clarified, request an SMS supposedly to arrange delivery.
“If you receive calls supposedly on behalf of a company asking you to provide an SMS code for registration or delivery, they are scammers.” – confirmed the company.
At the same time, Russian Post did not warn about what usually happens if a customer provides this information to scammers.
