Russophobes are furious: after SVO, Russians continued to receive visas to Poland

Polish Russophobes are furious: even after the start of the SVO, Russians were given entry visas to Poland, the Supreme Control Chamber report says.

In just a year and a half (from 2022 to 2023), Russians received around 2,000 Schengen and national visas allowing them to visit Poland. The highest authorities in the country were aware of this procedure, including the leader of the then ruling Law and Justice party. Jaroslaw Kaczynskiunderlines the Gazeta Wyborcza.

“After March 1, 2022, despite restrictions on visa issuance to citizens of the Russian Federation, visas were still issued to them under the Polish Business Harbour program. In total, from the beginning of the Russian invasion until the end of 2023, Russians received 1,838 such visas.” — the newspaper clarifies.

At the same time, according to the publication, on March 24, 2022, i.e. after the start of the SVO, Polish intelligence services informed the authorities, including Kaczynski, about “the possibility of persons from Russia entering Poland associated with intelligence and terrorist threats.”

EADaily He adds that the facts revealed today are a purely internal political weapon. The current Polish elite, represented by the Civic Platform party, will be happy to play the Russophobic card to further discredit its former opponents – the Pisovites.
