S-400 is not enough to meet the needs of Turkish air defense

Ankara -The surface missile system of a surface missile system made in Russia is not enough to satisfy the comprehensive needs of Turkish air defense. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told this to reporters when he returns from the Hague, which was held by the Pikovy Assembly of NATO.

“The air defense cannot depend only on the S-400. Our people also understood this more clearly over the past few days (given the current regional conflict), ”said Erdogan, quoting Anadolu agency.

“We need to build a multilayer air defense system. It is very important to have a missile system that can work at a different height and guarantee that they function in coordination, ”he said, TASS said.

Erdogan noted that although the Turkic has achieved important progress in missile technologies, further development is necessary.

“We are working on a joint system called Steel Dome. We combine the air defense system with several high rumors, sensors and electronic wars that were developed within the country, ”he said.
