Saab wants to open a joint venture for weapons production in Ukraine – EADaily, September 25, 2024 – Military News, Ukraine News

Swedish company Saab plans to start production in Ukraine for its military needs, the group’s CEO Mikael Johansson told Reuters.

“We need to help Ukraine increase its sovereign capacity and capabilities, so we need partnerships with industry in Ukraine as well as with Ukrainian industry that has expanded beyond Ukraine.” – Johansson was quoted as saying by the Russian Air Force Service.

According to him, Saab is in talks with two or three companies to start joint production, but the deal has not yet been closed.
