On October 29, Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova sent a congratulatory letter to Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, on the occasion of Republic Day, the national holiday of the Republic of Turkey.

In the letter, Sahiba Gafarova, on behalf of herself and the members of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, expressed her sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and the brotherly people of Turkey.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan said that thanks to the great victory won by the heroic Turkish people 101 years ago, the steps taken on the path of national development since the founding of the Republic, especially the extensive progress achieved in recent years, The Republic of Turkey has rightly become one of the most leading and powerful states in the world:
“The relations of brotherhood and alliance between Azerbaijan and Turkey, which reflect the will of our peoples, who are connected by a common history, roots and national and spiritual values, are today at their highest point. These relations are integral in all directions in accordance with the “The principle of “one nation, two states” is developed and strengthened.
The letter affirms that our unity and solidarity continues successfully in the field of interparliamentary cooperation, as in all areas of our interstate relations:
“So much confidence is expressed that we will successfully continue our joint efforts to further strengthen and expand bilateral and multilateral relations, effective and active cooperation between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.”
