“The importance of space technologies in the fight against climate change is great. 60 percent of the data collected in the fight against climate change is obtained from space and satellites.”
Oku.Az This was stated by Samaddin Asadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Space Agency (“Azerkosmos”) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, in his statement to journalists.
He said that the heads of space agencies and international organizations from more than 30 countries participated in the summit:
“At the Baku summit we signed a declaration. The essence of our declaration is to put the space strategies of different countries on a single platform. In addition, to jointly prevent natural disasters and cataclysms that occur in different countries of the world.”
