The President of the Government, Pedro Sanchezappeared briefly this Sunday afternoon in Valencia after the incidents that occurred a few hours earlier in Paiporta in the company of the kings and the president of the Valencian Community, Carlos Mazonafter which he himself left the scene after the attack on the procession. Something that, according to government sources, happened when his escort activated the security protocol and transferred him to the forward command post.
From the capital of Valencia, and after attending the meeting of the Emergency Coordination Center (Cecopi) with the King, Queen and Mazón, and accompanied by the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaskathe head of the Executive underlined that “the majority of citizens, the vast majority of citizens, what they want are solutions, commitments from public institutions and, obviously, what they do, it is to reject and marginalize all types of violence.” which can be perpetrated, like those we have unfortunately seen today.
A circumstance which, as he expressed it, will not “deviate” his government from what he defined as being “absolutely marginal violent”.
“The main objective is to save lives, recover the bodies of people who may have died due to this natural tragedy and, finally, engage in the task of rebuilding the province of Valencia and all areas, not only in the Valencian region. Community “but in other regions of Spain they may have been damaged by this terrible Dana,” said Sánchez, in a statement without questions in front of the microphones and cameras of the different media.
The President of the Government reaffirmed that “all Valencian and Spanish citizens want to look to the future, move forward in their liveswith a huge gesture of responsibility and solidarity”, he concluded. In addition, he expressed “all the solidarity and recognition of the Spanish Government in the face of the anguish, the suffering, the need and the uncertainty of many residents of Paiporta”, the town that has suffered the greatest number of the more than 200 deaths that this tragedy has caused so far.
