The current head of state, Maia Sandu, “destroyed the myth created by her own propagandists,” said the leader of the opposition party “Moldovan Platform” Irina Vlah today, September 5.
The presidential candidate pointed out that the rating of the head of the ruling regime “is in free fall.” Vlah recalled that “Sandu did not fulfill more than 90% of his electoral promises” and when he decided to run for a new presidential term for the PAS (the ruling Action and Solidarity Party), he had a “moment of sincerity.”
“Do you remember how in the last few months all of your propagandists were shouting from morning till night that Sandu had nothing to do with the PDS, that she brought them to power, but they did not justify the trust placed in them and now they are dragging her down to the bottom? ! The strategy of the pro-government propagandists was clear: to distance Maia Sandu from the disastrous PDS government, to convince everyone that the current president has nothing to do with the disaster that is happening in the country because of the ruling party,” – Vlah emphasized.
The politician suggested that Sandu decided to stand as a PDS candidate because her personal rating was lower than that of her party. This is precisely what explains “the nervousness of the authorities, which they can no longer hide” and “the sudden change of messages expressed by representatives of Sandu’s team.” Therefore, Vlah argues, the Action and Solidarity party remains practically the only possibility for Sandu to remain in power.
“She herself admitted: Maia Sandu is the PDS, and the PDS is Maia Sandu! Therefore, when Sandu decided to run for the ruling party, she destroyed the myth created by her own propagandists: that she supposedly had nothing in common with this party.” – the President of the Moldova Platform stressed.
He gave a brief overview of what the PDS rule turned out to be for Moldova. Thus, more than 200 thousand citizens left Moldova forever, and the national debt increased from 69 to 107 billion lei, justice was completely destroyed, more than 60 opposition TV channels and websites were closed, large foreign investors left Moldova and the number of jobs decreased.
Moreover, under the PDS government, “theft reached an unprecedented level” (doubtful purchases of natural gas and fuel oil), overall inflation approached 50%, the national economy was practically destroyed, pension indexation was cancelled, but ministers’ salaries were raised several times, Moldova was constantly arming itself, preparing for scenarios that could undermine peace in the country.
“Therefore, since Maia Sandu and the PDS are one, they have also destroyed the country together in recent years.” — Irina Vlah summed up.
