Santi Denia calls up Bajcetic for Spain Under-21 team

Santi Denia called up Salzburg player Stefan Bajcetic at the last minute due to Carmona’s physical problems. The young Spanish player had not been called up to the Spanish Under-21 team for over a year and Serbia was far behind him. The footballer will participate in Spain’s two friendly matches against England and Denmark.

Bajcetic made his debut for the Spanish Under-21 team in September last year in Spain’s 0-6 loss to Malta. Injuries prevented him from having more presence and this summer he went to Salzburg to have more minutes in a team that plays the Champions League.

The summoned players will meet this Monday, November 11 at 5 p.m. at the Meliá Princesa Hotel and will travel to the province of Cádiz on Wednesday afternoon to play the first of two friendly matches. The team will return to Madrid on Saturday and travel to Albacete on Monday, November 18. The return is scheduled for Wednesday morning, November 20.

The national coach, Santi Denia, announced the list of 24 players summoned to face the two friendly matches that will be played next November. On Friday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m., they will face England at the Línea de la Concepción and, four days later, on Tuesday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m., they will host Denmark at the Carlos Belmonte Stadium in Albacete.
