Sara Vítores, journalist for Cadena SER, dies at 52

The world of journalism is in mourning. Sara Vítores, famous journalist, screenwriter and presenter of Cadena SER, died last Tuesday, September 24, at the age of 52. A news that, as expected, has filled his family, friends and colleagues with deep pain. The communications professional, originally from Ávila, He died of cholangiocarcinoma, a disease that causes cancer cells to form in the bile ducts. Even though it was a truly terrible diagnosis, Sara did not want to give up so easily, far from it. If there is something that has characterized him throughout this process of struggle, it is the courage with which he has faced this difficult and complicated disease. In addition, He did not hesitate for a single second to support the birth of what is called the Association of Biliary Tract Tumors (ATUVIBI).

In this way, a platform emerged with a very clear objective, which was none other than to offer help and support to patients who had received this diagnosis. And not only that, but it was a more than perfect way to join forces and, thus, to demand much more resources for research into this type of cancer. Despite everything and this intense fight, Sara did not manage to win the battle against the disease and this was a very hard blow for her family and those closest to her. Among them, his colleagues at Cadena SER who did not hesitate for a single second to echo this tragic news but, above all, they wanted to publicly say goodbye to their partner: “Optimistic, loving and detail-oriented. Sara was a person full of joy that she transmitted to her friends and colleagues. And that is how we will remember her.”they assured through the radio’s official social networks.
