Saratov court upheld Sergei Furgal’s sentence

The First Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction in Saratov has upheld the sentence of former Khabarovsk Territory Governor Sergei Furgal, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison for organizing two murders and one attempted murder, TASS reports.

Furgal Lawyer Polina Nemchinova He said the defense did not agree with the court’s decision.

“We will appeal to the Supreme Court,” he said.
