Scandal with the ban on Israel participating in the Euronaval exhibition

The companies that were suspended from participating in the Euronaval fair in France from November 4 to 7 have achieved a victory in the judicial process. The president of the Paris Commercial Court admitted that the ban on Israeli companies appears to come from President Emmanuel Macron and is discriminatory.

This news was announced by French lawyer and anti-racism activist Patrick Klugman. He, together with two colleagues, represented the interests of the Israeli defense industry in court.

“This enormous victory supremacy law AND independence justice,” said the lawyer.

This is the second time in a year that French authorities have attempted to boycott the Israeli defense industry. Previously, participants from Israel were excluded from the Eurosatory exhibition due to discontent with the IDF’s actions in Rafah.

Then the Israeli companies also went to court and achieved a positive decision, but unfortunately it was too late: the exhibition had already ended by the time the verdict was issued.

Previously, Cursor wrote that a French court overturned a ban on Israelis entering the Eurosatory arms exhibition after an appeal. However, Israeli companies are still prohibited from participating in the event. The prestigious exhibition, which will be held from June 17 to 21, is one of the key events in the defense industry.

Furthermore, Cursor has already reported that Defense Minister Yoav Galant described the latest ban imposed by France on Israel’s participation in a naval weapons exhibition as shameful.
