Educational centers in the three districts most affected by the storm will remain closed

THE schools and institutes in the city of Valencia They will resume teaching activity this Monday, with the exception of those located in the neighborhoods of La Torre, Castellar-Oliveral and Horno de Alcedo, affected by DANA. Classes have been suspended since Wednesday.

This is what the Town Hall of the capital Turia has decided, as it continues work to recover the area after last Tuesday’s floods. Although it appears that some educational centers in these neighborhoods show no damage, it was decided to carry out an inspection with the firefighters before returning to normal.

The council recommends going to educational centers by public transport, by bike or on foot and avoid traveling by private vehicle in the urban area as much as possible.

In this sense, the mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, announced the launch of a police system to control access to the city on a day that promises to be complicated.

In addition, he asked for “understanding” because there will be teachers who will not be able to travel to their educational center, so the management teams will be responsible for filling any vacancies that may exist.
