The town of Cabizuela, in Avila, is once again surrounded by flames less than 24 hours after a forest fire that started in the north of the municipality, in the Cañada Real Leonesa Occidental. This time, the fire started in the southern part, in the area of the vineyard meadow and, in addition, level 1 has been declared due to the need to protect people and property, as reported by the Environmental Service of the Junta. of Castile and León.
After a fire that broke out last Tuesday night and took just over two hours to put out, the fire is once again threatening Cabizuela and this time the threat is much more serious. Currently, 13 teams are working on site to try to extinguish the forest fire.
Forest fire whose causes are still unknown. The fire broke out around 3:32 p.m. in this municipality in the Arévalo region and the forecast of a possibility of evacuation of Cabizuela led Infocal to activate level 1.
Two environmental agents, three fire trucks, four BRIFs and three helicopters and seaplanes are working among the resources.
Currently, work is underway to extinguish the flames, while fire prevention and extinguishing services are trying to circumscribe the area to determine the total area affected and the type of vegetation involved.
