According to the expert, when purchasing a disk, drivers should first of all be based on load calculations.
“These calculations take into account the weight of the car and the operating conditions. Well-selected discs guarantee the strength and lightness of the tire,” he explained.
The expert stressed that it is important to check that the forged discs correspond to the permitted loads.
“For modern heavy vehicles, especially SUVs, it is safe to use discs with a capacity of 500 kilograms. It is also necessary to determine the size of the tires in advance: there is no point in installing wide tires on narrow discs or vice versa” , the expert emphasized.
Before purchasing, Demin advises making sure that the bolt pattern parameters and hub hole diameter correspond to the requirements of the car:
“Manufacturers can change these parameters depending on the year of manufacture of the car, and errors can lead to incompatibilities of new tires. It is recommended to contact a car service for an accurate measurement of the parameters during the first purchase.”
