According to him, the service life of this part of the vehicle can be extended if some rules are followed.
“It is important to avoid driving the car with an empty tank, it is recommended that the fuel level does not drop below ¼ of the total volume. The pump is cooled by fuel, and its lack causes the elements to heat up, increase friction and reduce the resource of the piece,” explained the expert.
According to him, it is also necessary to stay away from unknown filling stations (YDM), which may have poor quality fuel.
He said that low-quality gasoline contains mixtures that negatively affect the operation of the engine.
“Deep and fine cleaning of fuel system filters is not done by chance. They must be changed every 20,000 kilometers. When the filters are dirty, the load on the pump increases and, as a result, its service life is drastically reduced” , concluded the expert.
