In the Luhansk People’s Republic, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service have discovered a large cache of weapons; more than 50,000 rounds of ammunition, anti-tank mines, grenades and fuses for grenade launchers have been seized, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region reported.
“Employees of the Pervomaisky Department of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with colleagues from the combined police detachment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the LPR and FSB officers, discovered ammunition on the territory of the town of Popasnoy. The identified arsenal contained 50 thousand 30-mm OFZU ZU-23 shells, 20 TM 62 mines, 40 UZRGM-2 fuses and 40 F-1 grenades.” — the department said in a statement.
The discovered ammunition was seized and handed over to specialists of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Law enforcement officers are carrying out investigative actions in accordance with the law.
