The deputy commander-in-chief of the National Guard has been detained in Kazakhstan.

It should be noted that Major General Konstantin Voronkin, Deputy Commander-in-Chief in charge of equipment and armaments, was arrested in 2023 for accepting a bribe.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan confirmed the information.
“The Ministry of the Interior confirms the arrest of the deputy commander-in-chief of the National Guard on suspicion of having committed an illegal act. The Ministry expresses its principled position on intolerance of any manifestation of corruption in its ranks, and its objective and a thorough investigation is being carried out in this regard within the framework of the current legislation,” the statement reads.
