Senior official Martin Ajdari, 55 years old and current deputy general director of the Paris Opera, was proposed by the executive to preside over the Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom), media regulator in France, announced the Elysée in a press release. on Thursday, November 28.

If his name is validated by the National Assembly and the Senate, Martin Ajdari, who has held management positions in several cultural institutions and in audiovisual media, will replace Roch-Olivier Maistre, who will leave office on February 2, 2025.

Arcom, former Higher Audiovisual Council (CSA), has the mission of allocating frequencies assigned to audiovisuals, guaranteeing pluralism on the air and supervising compliance with the obligations of online platforms established in France.

Appointed deputy general director of Radio France in 2004

Deputy Director General of the Paris National Opera since January 2020, Mr. Ajdari led all operational functions of the establishment (administrative and financial, commercial, etc.) and was responsible for the implementation of its strategic plan.

Graduated from the ESCP and Sciences Po Paris, this manager (class of 1995) previously held various positions in the Ministry of Economy and Finance, before being appointed deputy director general of Radio France in 2004.

He was then deputy general director of resources and general secretary of France Télévisions (2010 to 2014), before being appointed director of the office of the Minister of Culture and Communication (Aurélie Filippetti and then Fleur Pellerin), then general director of media and cultural industries in this ministry (2015). He was a candidate for the presidency of Radio France in 2014.
