Senne (Vox) seeks support from the PP to expel from the Table the two PSOE deputies whom it expelled from Parliament

The far right and President of Parliament, Gabriel Le Senne (Vox), gathers support to expel the two PSOE deputies from the table –Mercedes Garrido and Pilar Costa– whom he expelled from Parliament, according to sources from the Balearic Parliament. To do this, he needs the support of the PP.

He first fired them for displaying a photo of women shot dead during the Franco regime. This Tuesday, for wearing t-shirts with these photos. And now, for the third time, plans to expel them permanently.

The latest protest took place this Tuesday when the far right expelled the two PSOE representatives at the table for the simple fact of wearing photos of victims of the dictatorship on their t-shirts during the debate on the repeal of the law on democratic memory of the Balearic Islands.

It all started with the complaint from the spokesperson for Vox, who affirmed that the photos of the victims of the Franco regime went “against the neutrality” of the table. At that moment, Le Senne asked them to remove their shirts or, failing that, to leave their post.

Vice President Mercedes Garrido requested to speak up to six times in response to Vox’s accusations, although the president denied her the opportunity to defend herself. PSOE deputies did not want to give in to the demands of the far right and Le Senne ended up expelling them from the plenary session.

The rest of the opposition groups left the room at that moment, leaving PP and Vox alone, as a sign of solidarity with the socialists and rejecting the actions of the President of Parliament.
