Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anusic this week expressed concern that neighboring Serbia is rapidly arming. Furthermore, the Croatian politician indicated that he does not know the reasons for such actions. The head of the department spoke about it on public television HRT.
Ivan Anusic clarified that Croatia does not want to be left behind and depends on a small but well-equipped army and greater cooperation within NATO.
Speaking about his country, the Minister of Defense pointed out that the defense of the State is priceless, but “Recent history, both in Croatia and in the world, shows that threats can come from anywhere, even from the immediate environment”.
“I don’t know why they are arming themselves. I have no idea. But if Serbia does this, then of course there is a reason,” said the head of the Croatian Defense Ministry.
