In recent hours, 220 people have arrived in Lanzarote and 129 in El Hierro.
Maritime rescue recovered the bodies of two North African men which were located approximately six miles southeast of Arrecife, Lanzarote. The bodies were sighted by a fishing boat, which was transferred to the capital of Lanzarote.
Also in Lanzarote, the Calíope maritime guard rescued a total of 220 people who were sailing in four inflatable boats, which is in addition to the rescue in El Hierro of the maritime guard Talía who disembarked 129 people who were traveling aboard a cayuco, seen by a ship 150 miles from the island.
The health system confirmed the death of one of them, and previously Helimer had transferred another occupant suffering from moderate pathologies to Tenerife.
The migrants were disembarked at the port of La Restinga and after the usual health care by members of the SUC, Primary Care and the Red Cross, they were found to be in good health and there was no need to carry out transfers to the island hospital. .
