After her arrival, Angela was referred directly to the La Fe intensive care unit due to her critical health condition, where she will continue her convalescence after a month in which she debated between life and death in a La Fe hospital on the Thai island of Samui. , with a daily medical cost of 5,000 euros. “He is still in a coma and his condition is still serious”her cousin Mariam told this newspaper.
Angela’s family paid for the rental of the medical plane with funds raised through donations when the case became known in the media and on social networks. In just a few hours they managed to raise just over 300,000 euros, although they still tried to get help from the government, through the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, to charter a military plane in order to transport the young woman more safely, as was done last May. However, the request for help was refused and communicated by the head of Defense herself, Marguerite Roblesto the mayor of Godelleta, Amparo Pardo, to whom he personally informed that the Government had deployed all its medical planes from the Aeroevacuation Medical Unit of the Air and Space Force (UMAER) to the Canary Islands .
