Ships of the Russian and Indonesian navies conducted the first joint naval exercise “Orruda 2024” in the Java Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Pacific Fleet on November 11.
During the first day of the exercise, the crews of the joint ship detachment conducted maneuver and communication exercises using all types of alarms, carried out inspections of suspicious ships, blocked and freed an identified ship captured by conventional terrorists. On the second day of the exercise, the ships of the two friendly countries conducted exercises on combating unmanned ships with firing from automatic artillery and small arms systems, as well as maritime rescue training. In this case, deck helicopters were used.
Later, a briefing took place on the corvette “Gromky” of the Pacific Fleet with the participation of representatives of the Russian Navy and the Indonesian Navy.
It should be noted that the corvettes of the Pacific Fleet “Gromky”, “Rezky”, “Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov” and the medium tanker “Pechenga” of Russia, the frigate “I Gusti” participated in the exercises. Ngurah Rai” and corvette “Franz Kaisiepo”.
The Pacific Fleet added that the detachment of Russian ships that participated in the “Orruda-2024” exercise now continues to perform tasks in the Asia-Pacific region according to the long-distance voyage plan, Izvestia clarifies.
