Western countries would have removed Russia’s frozen assets long ago if they had not known that the response would be painful, said Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu.
“If they felt they had impunity, they would have taken this money a long time ago, but they understand perfectly well that the response will not only be appropriate, but painful. I have already said that they behave like common thieves.” – he said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, as quoted by TASS.
