Shooting leaves at least seven injured in Kentucky

A shooting took place this Saturday late afternoon on a highway in Laurier Countyin the north of the state of Kentuckyand there are fears that there will be many victims, according to information gathered by various media in the United States.

The local sheriff’s office reported “an active shooter” (meaning he has not yet been captured) and that he has already struck “numerous people,” with no known motive, in the I-75 Highwaynext to exit number 49. For his part, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear asked to “avoid the area.”

The police have identified Joseph A. Sofaa 32-year-old white male, approximately 5’7″ tall and weighing approximately 165 pounds, like the shooter who shot out the car’s windshields as he left the at least seven injured, according to Randall Weddle, mayor of London, a neighboring city. There are no confirmed deaths, but there are serious injuries.

CNN, for its part, broadcast images in which several vehicles stopped or passed in the middle of the roadsome with the door open, in what appears to be a chaotic scene.
