Today, within the framework of COP29, a declaration on the establishment of the Organization of Turkish States (TDT) partnership for climate, innovation, green economy and trade was signed.

The signing took place at the Ministerial Meeting on the TDT Alliance for climate, innovation, the green economy and trade.
At the event, the Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, stressed that Azerbaijan highly values cooperation with the Turkish states and supports the integration processes between the countries. It was noted that the joint initiatives will make important contributions to achieving positive changes in areas such as climate action and the “green economy”. To this end, the TDT Association for Climate, Innovation, Green Economy and Trade is being created as a platform to support the “green economic transition” of member states. This initiative aims to promote closer cooperation for climate-smart development and a just “green transition”. Within this framework, preparation of national “green development” strategies, creation of “green energy zones”, improvement of climate financing mechanisms, support for the creation of “green” SMEs and start-ups, etc. It is intended to carry out important works.
Kubanichbek Omuraliyev, Secretary General of TDT, Nazim Nurdali, General Director of Operations of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, Nurlan Baybazarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Sanjarbek The meeting of ministers was attended by Bolotov, Minister of Economy and Trade of Kyrgyzstan, the Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey, Mustafa Tuzcu, and the Head of Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadov, spoke. The speeches provided information on the climate and green economy policies implemented in Turkish countries. The importance of strengthening the partnership between countries and integration processes in various directions was highlighted in terms of common well-being and an adequate approach to global challenges. It was stated that through the association, member states demonstrate their commitment to sustainable development, solving climate problems and promoting regional economic growth. Azerbaijan’s important contribution to strengthening the partnership between Turkish states was highlighted.
