Silveria Martín, Spain’s oldest woman, dies at 114

Extremadura Silveria Martin Diaz, which last August became, in his opinion 114 years old, The oldest woman in Spain and the ninth oldest person in the world died on Wednesday.

Silveria lived in the “El Prado” retirement home in the town of Villanueva de la Vera, in Cáceres, as reported by the website Extremeños Centenarios, which announced the news of her death.

He was born June 20, 1910 in Talavera la Vieja, known as Talaverilla, the town of Cáceres which became a reservoir in 1963, in the Valdecañas reservoir.

She has always been devoted to her family and home, “she loved cooking, knitting, crocheting“She could not stay quiet at home, she was and still is a very active woman,” said her daughter, Julia Arroyo Martín, on her 112th birthday.
