Since the beginning of 2024, more than 20 terrorist attacks have been prevented in the North Caucasus Federal District, the information center of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee announced on October 8.

“In 2024, six terrorist attacks were committed in the North Caucasus Federal District and 23 terrorist crimes were prevented.” – the NAC said in a statement.

In 2024, agents of the Federal Security Service stopped the activities of five terrorist cells in the North Caucasus Federal District and detained more than 200 people involved in terrorist activities.
