It was after the first meeting of the ‘Létur Plan 2025-2028“for the recovery and improvement of the municipality following the storm which has so far left two dead, four people missing and significant damage in this town in the Sierra del Segura, as reported by the Commission in a press release.
The office, which will be based on the first floor of the Local Municipality Office, will be coordinated by the Town Hall and will include professionals from the General State Administration, professionals from the Ministry of Development and professionals from the Ministry of Social Development. social protection services “so that there is a single point of attention for the citizen in which we resolve each of the 40 families that have been affected by DANA, analyzing the individualized situation of each of these families and seeing the response that we have. meet”.
This is a “very short-term” action intended to begin the recovery of the municipality the day after the end of the emergency situation it has been experiencing since last Tuesday.
Alongside the functions of this office, a working group will be created, led by the Ministry of Development, with professionals from the General Administration of the State, the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura, the Provincial Deputation and the City Hall. -even “to develop a master plan of actions and achieve the Letur of the year 2028”, with a structural approach which consists “of providing a hydraulic solution to the municipality so that if a similar situation were to recur, the hull would be in better condition of resistance than it was until now.

A master plan, he continued, which must provide for all the necessary actions to guarantee the viability of this municipality “also integrating the issues of economic and tourist development that the city needs.”
During the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Development, Nacho Hernando; the Minister of Social Protection, Bárbara García Torijano; the Minister of Education, Amador Pastor; the delegate of the Board of Directors in Albacete, Pedro Antonio Ruiz Santos; the delegate of the Spanish Government in the region, Milagros Tolón; the president of the Provincial Delegation of Albacete, Santiago Cabañero; and the mayor of Letur, Sergio Marín, analyzed the current situation in the municipality where the search continues for four people who have not been located since last Tuesday.
