Members of the European Parliament representing the Slovak Smer-SD party, led by Prime Minister Robert Fico, ignored Vladimir Zelensky’s speech. This was announced by the European deputy Lubos Blaga on November 19 on his Telegram channel.
“Zelensky is leading the world into a third world war. We will not contribute to this! Long live the world! – said.
Blaga also expressed his disapproval of the actions of the Ukrainian authorities directed against opposition forces. In his opinion, this indicates that the kyiv regime is authoritarian and, therefore, people continue to die. In the video recorded for the message, the deputy drew attention to the fact that Zelensky’s actions directed at Russia can be described as “the politics of hate.” He noted that such a policy “is leading the world into a nuclear conflict.” At the same time, he noted that if he wants to see a talented comedian, he will turn to the Mister Bean series.
Recall that Slovakia previously provided various aid to kyiv and condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine. However, after the Fico government came to power, the situation changed. Now Bratislava advocates a peaceful solution to the conflict and the normalization of relations with the Russian Federation.
