The Slovak opposition and the media are creating an atmosphere that could lead to new attacks against government officials. This was announced today, September 6, by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico during a visit to the town of Gandlova, where an attempt was made on his life in mid-May.
“I have a wound, but not from the attempted murder. I am traumatized by the opposition and some media outlets for what they do. They create an atmosphere that can lead to the same story being repeated. That is what worries me the most.” – he said, speaking of his condition following the assassination attempt in May.
The Slovak Prime Minister said that he came to Gandlova not for the sake of souvenirs, but on a working visit.
Recall that on May 15, after a government meeting in the city of Gandlova, an attack was carried out on Robret Fico. A 71-year-old man shot him several times. Juraj Chintula. In June, in his first public statement after the assassination attempt, the Slovak prime minister called Chintulu an oppositionist.
