This Tuesday, the Governing Council approved a decree establishing the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies aimed at promoting the digitalization of SMEs and approved the first call for applications in the amount of 1.5 million euros (between 2024 and 2026) and financing of up to 85 percent of the Feder Extremadura Program 2021-27.
This aid is aimed at companies which carry out their activity in the territory of the region and is intended to “contribute to their digital transformation and the general strengthening of the economic fabric through the use of ICT”, from which it is estimated that a total of 125 companies will benefit.
The amount of this aid will be made up of a percentage of the 80 percent of eligible investmentwith a maximum of 20,000 euros per beneficiary entity and regardless of the number of services intended to be contracted, as reported by the Council in a press release.
Compared to previous calls, in which the adoption of e-commerce services was mainly financed, such as digital marketing campaigns or online stores, in this case “one more step is taken” by including management services of the company itself (systems activity and customer management). (ERP and CRM), electronic invoicing systems, business-to-business (B2B) commercial management systems and the implementation of IT security systems are also subsidized.
