Marc Marquez He found his smile again. He lost it during his last stage of Sling due to poor motorcycle performance and injuries. and now in Gresini enjoy MotoGP again. With three wins included. But that’s not the most important thing for him.
In an interview with ‘TNT Sports’, Marc said that “smiles are more important than World Cups”: “Now I’m smiling again… it’s more important than the world championships.”
“When we smile a lot, it becomes something normal and common. We forget the difficult moments. But When you’re going through a tough time, you place more value on what a good time means. From one day to the next, I was living my best days and my nightmare began,” says the eight-time MotoGP world champion.
On a mental level, he had a lot of difficulties because of the injuries he suffered: “The mental aspect was one of the most difficult things. When you are injured, the first and second year are not a problem But when you are injured, in pain, you go to the doctor who tells you: ‘you are healed but you don’t feel well?’ doubts start in your mind.
This year, he has already won three victories: Aragon, Misano and Australia. “The sensations were incredible, I had been waiting for it for a long time. In 2014, I won ten races in a row, but now? Only one in two years…”, remembers the future Ducati rider.
And he says: “Values change. Before my accident, winning was normal, it wasn’t special…to be second was to lose. But winning is not normal, because only a driver can win. “It changed my perception of sport and racing.”
