The Central Election Commission (CEC) has not yet received any information about violations of the rules regarding the extraordinary parliamentary elections held in Azerbaijan.
According to CEC member Ramiz Ibrahimov, he told reporters at the CEC Election Information Center.
According to him, the early parliamentary elections are arousing great interest: “The elections are being observed by more than 112,000 local observers and 598 foreign observers. So far, the CEC hotline has only received inquiries.”
It should be noted that 990 candidates are competing in the parliamentary elections for 125 deputy mandates. The total number of voters in Azerbaijan is 6,421,960 people. Voting throughout the country is carried out at 6,478 polling stations formed in the territory of 125 electoral districts. 54 of them were formed in territories free from occupation.
Polling stations opened at 8:00 a.m. Voting will continue until 7:00 p.m.
