In 2023, the Production Union “Azerigas” of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) carried out the construction of gas pipelines in 24 settlements in the free-of-occupation territories.

According to the document, within the framework of the implementation of the “First state program for the great return to the territories liberated from the occupation of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, last year “Azerigas” supplied carrier gas to up to 24 residential areas in oil pipelines. in the regions of Aghdara, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli and Lachin.
Of these, the construction of gas pipelines was completed in 23 locations. Currently, Fuzuli and Lachin cities, Talish village in Aghdara region and Zabukh village in Lachin region are supplied with natural gas.
