The next meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan Bar Association (ARVK) was held.
Oku.Az The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Anar Bagirov, who spoke at the meeting, informed about the current activities of the Presidium.
According to the agenda of the meeting, the oath ceremony of a candidate lawyer who successfully passed the qualification exam and mandatory training for admission to the bar association was held, and the applications of four lawyers whose legal activity was suspended due to their being in public service were reviewed, positive decisions were made, they were given certificates and allowed to continue their activities in the future.
The letter of the President of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on the assignment of a seal of guarantee to the Bar Association of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as the issue of the establishment of the Bar Association “ULBS” were then considered and relevant decisions were made.
In addition, appropriate decisions have been taken in response to requests from some lawyers to transfer to other legal organisations, to exempt lawyers participating in training for entry into the judiciary from paying membership fees for a certain period of time, and to stop practising law at their own will.
At the continuation of the meeting, the opinions of the Disciplinary Commission for Lawyers were considered and due to disciplinary violations committed by the Presidium, 2 lawyers were appealed to the court to be suspended and expelled from the ARVK membership, 2 lawyers were reprimanded, 1 was reprimanded and 2 lawyers were reprimanded.
Finally, other important issues related to the College’s activities were considered.
