South Korea will postpone maintenance on German Taurus missiles for five years as the manufacturer supplies necessary spare parts to Ukraine. This was reported by the Yonhap agency on Thursday, November 28.
“The Air Force is delaying the basic maintenance plan for the Taurus KEPD 350K long-range air-to-ground missile to five years…the manufacturer has disapproved of this due to instability in the supply of certain engine-related parts. “ – says the agency’s material.
Initially, the agreement was to be implemented in 2025. South Korea purchased the Taurus in 2015 and the agreement with its manufacturer, the German company Taurus Systems, included major maintenance every ten years.
Previously, South Korean authorities reacted with skepticism to Ukraine’s request to sell it weapons. As noted, during the preparation of the visit agenda it became known that Ukraine had announced its desire to buy weapons and not receive them for free, Izvestia clarifies.
