South Ossetia will suspend the operation of simplified border crossings with Georgia. This decision was made at a meeting of the Republic’s Security Council on October 10.
The Hrazdahan and Pereu checkpoints will be closed from 08:00 on October 25 to 08:00 on October 28.
The decision was made to “ensure the safety of the citizens of South Ossetia and prevent the creation of incidents on the state border with Georgia” during the parliamentary elections to be held in Georgia on October 26.
