Numerous fires caused serious disasters in Spain, especially in the northern regions, since record temperatures continue to reach southern Europe. Thousands of people were removed from their houses, as efforts continue to extinguish fires.
A lot of drought and strong winds complicated the battle with fires. The authorities blocked roads in cities and small villages to limit the spread of fires.
In the city of Molezulyas -Karbold in Samor, employees of the military unit worked at night to deal with fires. The fire quickly spread and reached an agricultural business, affecting the greenhouse and many auxiliary houses.
Residents of the village of Karukhedo, in the province of Castilla Leon, were evacuated during the weekend, when fires arrived in residential areas. Officials said the winds help transport the flame further and still pose a serious threat.
Six fires flooded the province. The area remains wary, because two of these fires are at a critical distance from residential areas.
Officials say that 30,000 people were evacuated from the small village of Merryz, when fires continue to approach.
