“Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova and Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan will meet in Geneva in October in the framework of the peace agreement between the countries.”
Oku.Az This was announced by the press secretary of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Thomas Fitzsimons.
“The bilateral meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be held for the third time from 13 to 17 October in Geneva within the framework of the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union,” he noted.
According to the spokesman, the exact date of the meeting has not yet been announced. Fitzsimons also noted that this meeting should benefit peace efforts in the region.
