American film and television actor, director and screenwriter Obi Ndifo has passed away at the age of 51.

Ndifo studied drama at Yale University. He made his screen debut in the Star Trek franchise in the mid-1990s.
His filmography includes “Columbo,” “NYPD Blue,” “3rd Rock from the Sun,” “Angel,” “The West Wing,” “Eastwick,” “NCIS: Los Angeles” and other films. The actor’s most famous role is that of Chef Bodie, which he played in the television series “Dawson’s Creek” from 1998 to 2002.
Four years ago, the artist lost both his legs when a pickup truck crashed near a supermarket in Los Angeles. The horrific crash ripped off Obi’s right leg and his left leg could not be saved. His doctor called Ndifon’s survival a miracle.
