Prime Minister -the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, On Sunday, he said that the United States took “measures” to “soften” Iran’s nuclear threats after US President Donald Trump confirmed that he bombarded three nuclear complexes of the Persian country.
“Iran’s nuclear program poses a serious threat to international security. I will never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons, and the United States took measures to mitigate this threat, ”Starmer said in the publication on the social network X.
In this sense, the British president added that the situation in the Middle East remains unstable, and stability in the region is a “priority”.
“We urge you to return to the negotiation table (with the United States) and achieve a diplomatic solution to put an end to this crisis,” Starmer concluded.
The United States entered this Saturday in an open war between Israel and Iran after a bombardment of three main nuclear facilities of Iran: Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan, in an attack that Trump called social truth in his network as “successful”.
Two hours after the attack, in order to curb the Iran’s nuclear enrichment program, the White House leader gave Tehran the opportunity to choose between “peace or tragedy” and insisted on Washington’s ability to attack new goals if a quick agreement was not reached.
On the other hand, I would say that he reserves “all options” to protect against the attack of the United States against its nuclear objects, and promised that the answers would have “long -term consequences”.
This attack occurred after Trump gave a period for two weeks to decide whether to intervene in the cross -conflict between Israel and Iran began a little more than a week ago, and after meeting the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the European Union with its Iranian colleagues last Friday in Geneva.
As for the British representative office, Foreign Minister David Lammy warned Iran after the meeting: “They have the opportunity to agree on a diplomatic decision; They must take the exit ramp. ”
In this sense, he said that the United Kingdom will do “everything that can” to facilitate these conversations between the United States and Iran about its nuclear program initiated on April 12 and confirmed British determination to avoid the escalation of the conflict in the region.
The American bombardment in Iran also caused a reaction in other political sectors of the United Kingdom and leader of the British reform party, Nigel Faraj, said in X Populist Right -Wing ForMation “supports” the military operations of the United States: “It should not be allowed to have nuclear weapons, the future of the Islands depends on it.”
