Stars admit to getting drugs without a prescription – EADaily, September 18, 2024 – Society. News, US News

In the new documentary TMZ Investigates the Death of Matthew Perry, several American stars admit to obtaining drugs without a prescription. The film was released on the streaming service Hulu, TMZ reports.

It is no secret in Hollywood that doctors supply celebrities with illegal drugs. In the film, in particular, the daughter of one of the founders of the band Black Sabbath talks about this. Ozzy OsborneKelly.

According to her, at the age of 13 she was able to obtain various narcotics from Hollywood doctors. At the same time, the doctors did not inform her star parents about this.

“Kelly went to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions without his parents present…we’re talking about a 13-year-old boy who buys hard, addictive drugs from the pharmacy.” – says the publication.

The documentary explores how doctors, middlemen and even rehab centers turn celebrities into drug addicts, sometimes with deadly consequences.

As reported EADailyMatthew Perry was found dead on October 29, 2023 in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home. The actor was 54 years old. In his memoir, he spoke of his struggle with alcohol and drug addiction.

Investigators say Perry died from an overdose of ketamine, a painkiller, anesthetic and sleeping pill. The U.S. Department of Justice clarifies that Dr. Mark Chavez, who previously ran a ketamine clinic, sold the drug to another doctor charged in the actor’s death. Salvador Plasenciaknowing Perry would eventually get it. In text messages to Chavez, Plasencia discussed how much money to charge the actor for the ketamine, writing, “I wonder how much this idiot will pay.”

Five people are being investigated in connection with Perry’s death. ABC sources say that in addition to the two doctors, the actor’s assistant is also under investigation. Kenneth Iwamasa“Ketamine Queen” of Los Angeles Jasvin Sangha AND Eric Flemingwho also distributed the drugs.

Iwamasa “admitted to repeatedly injecting the actor with ketamine without medical training,” including “multiple injections” on the day of his death. Chavez pleaded guilty to one count and is actively cooperating with the investigation.
